Greene Street Consignment Philadelphia

Fashion-forward fun

""Greene Street Consignment" in Philadelphia makes it easy to find great pieces on their tidy, colorful shelves. My recommendation: check the clearance racks!"

It's easy to find treasures in the tidy, colorful racks of clothing at Greene Street Consignment. Their buyers only consign the good stuff, with an eye for color and cut. The original shop remains a keystone of the South Street boutique scene, but it has outposts in Chestnut Hill and the suburbs beyond. Greene Street Consignments touts themselves as a sustainable clothing choice, so let that make you feel good about dropping cash here.

Prices vary widely, depending on the designer. I've snagged little black dresses here for under $10 on clearance and a leather jacket for $20. But I've also turned tags to gasp, with sticker shock on Marc Jacobs coats and Kate Spade bags. There are no bad options here, only expensive ones. Bargain hunters, check the clearance racks!

Beyond clothing, the stores stock a nice selection of handbags and shoes. Some of their purses and other accessories are new, and all are colorful and stylish. Here, you can always find something flattering, and the pleasure is in the hunt!

Duross & Langel

Good clean fun

"Duross & Langel" is a Philadelphia soap shop. Scented with fruit and herbs, I'm afraid they're works of art almost too beautiful to use in the shower...
