For sure you’ve heard about the D. Luis Bridge, a must see of the city! I love that bridge, it’s beautiful, but most of all its upper deck is a peaceful place with its amazing view.
I usually go there at night, between 21:30 and 23:00, when the city is slowly getting a bit more quiet. It is so relaxing to hear the natural noises of this part of the city once everyone is going to sleep. By this time there are mainly locals, either on their way home, doing some jogging, or just enjoying the view like myself. I love to go there around this time and feel the wind while I’m appreciating the view and analyzing all the details of these typical buildings. For someone who loves to take pictures like me, this place has a lot of potential, with so many details! I usually take some really cool pictures while up there, by capturing the metro and Serra do Pilar on the same frame.
At night the only way up there is either by climbing up those hilly stairs, or through the street that goes up from São Bento towards Sé.
