If you are one of those geeks with Super Mario tattoos you should stop reading now, 'cause after reading about Joystick you might just spend all your time in Prague in a cellar.
Joystick is an arcade game bar with a great location in Jindřišská passage, not far from Václavské náměstí. It is based in the cellar (exactly how a gamer's nest should be) and you have to go through the whole passage to reach it.
Most of the games are priced around 10 CZK, some of them are for 5 CZK, that's why I never come without my pirate coin bag, alternatively you can ask the waitress to give you some change. However you can also find some free machines with a yellow free game sticker on it. Other classic games worth mentioning are Mortal Kombat 3 and 4, Terminator or these new motorbike games where you sit on a real bike and race. Besides arcade games Joystick offers also table football and even a TV with Nintendo Wii and Mario Kart.
Don't expect too much from the drinks offer, it's all about the arcade games, so you’ll most probably go for beer, wine or some non-alcoholic drinks. They won’t offer you many hot drinks, not even coffee or tea, however if you are a beer specialist, you will appreciate their fridge full of different beer specials. Another pro is that it is open till late night. So go to Joystick, grab your joystick and have fun!
