There is a lovely street in Prishtina, commonly known as “Te Pishat”. It’s framed by tall trees who provide some shade during summer, it houses a few bridal and occasion ware boutiques, a range of shops, bars and cafes, restaurants, optometrist, one of the better patisseries in the city, and the lovely “Say it with flowers” shop.
Indeed, it is one of the friendliest shops, thus my favourite one in Prishtina. I have reached this conclusion based on my numerous demands which the ever-helpful and polite shop assistants have always strived to address. A family-run business, you can feel the sense of pride they take in their work.
You simply tell them what the occasion is and general information on what you like or dislike, and your idea will be turned into a lovely bouquet. The place caters to price-conscious ones with the same grace and friendliness as to splurgers -- which I highly appreciate. What’s more, they will do deliveries for the modest fee of a cab fare.
Never again will you need to be flowerless in Prishtina.
