Burga bar is located within walking distance from Riga’s central part as well as from Riga’s Old Town. I’ve known this bar for more than 10 years and it is always nice to go there – for a business lunch, happy hour cocktails or a nice dinner with friends.

The atmosphere in Burga bar is very democratic; the style has some interesting design features, the guests vary from office workers during the daytime to artistic hipsters in the evenings and also some tourists that come here after visiting the Art Nouveau district (located literally just around the corner). The prices are mid-range but the size of the portions would satisfy even always-hungry teenagers. Especially the salad portions are very impressive but there is a variety of other foods as well: starters, vegetarian meals, soups, pasta, burgers, and main courses and desserts. Besides the soft drinks, cocktails, and wine, there is also local (produced in Latvia) beer and cider available.

In Burga bar I have celebrated my birthdays with happy hour cocktails, I have had lunch with colleagues, and I have had a meeting with friends after work for a long and philosophical chat. During these years, Burga bar has gained this very special patina and charm of places that have existed for a long time but keeping this lively mood and friendly atmosphere.
