At the entrance of Delfshaven, by the Aelbrechtskolk, you'll find the Altstadt Kantine, a place woven into the fabric of my Rotterdam routine. It's not just about sipping coffee here, though they brew a mean cup. They serve breakfast and lunch, and the vibe? It's uncomplicated.
This spot is an extension of Altstadt Rotterdam, a theatre and workshop for performing arts. It's a cultural heartbeat that hums with the creative pulse of the city. Why do I keep coming back? It's simple: it feels like a second living room, where our dog Andes is as welcome as we are. Altstadt also has a great view on Delfshaven, the oldest part of Rotterdam. So if you sit outside on the terrace, you will not only have a delicious coffee but also a beautiful view.
