The trio behind this culinary gem, Jord Coree, Roy Lammers, and Birk Heijkants, hail from Utrecht but have rooted their gastronomic venture in their Rotterdam return. What strikes me the most is their commitment to a plant-based menu. Every item, passionately vegetarian or vegan, is a testament to their belief in a greener lifestyle.
Dining here for my father-in-law's birthday was a delightful experience. The crowd was as varied as the flavors on our plates, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Rotterdam itself. Despite their youth, the owners impress with their prowess and warmth, making us feel right at home.
Since 2023, Rotonde has been honored with a Bib Gourmand and a green Michelin star. The latter is an accolade highlighting exemplary sustainability practices within the gastronomy industry. And it's no wonder why, Rotonde is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of what dining should be: downright delicious.
