In the Levant region (Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria), shoarma is a very popular street food dish. This is why, over the years, the practice of making shoarma has only gotten better and taster. The Middle Eastern Levant region shoarma is absolutely delicious, with different flavours, recipes, and presentations.
In Rotterdam, it was a little hard for me to find a place that makes this dish the way they do in the Levant, until I found Shaami Huis.
The food in Shaami huis is absolutely delicious. Even though their most popular dish is the chicken shoarma that is served along with fries and slices of tomatoes and pickles, there are many options to get here.
They have hummus, baba ghanoush, kubba (dough of wheat and lamb tenderloin cream filled with minced meat, onions and pine nuts is one of my favourites!) and a lot more for a very decent price.
The restaurant is not a fancy place – it’s merely a street food spot. However, there are a couple of tables where you can sit and enjoy your dish.
Shaami Huis is definitely recommended!
