Optimism is a huge brewery in the heart of the city in the Capital Hill neighborhood. This micro brewery has a huge selection of beers and ales. You will find a variety of fruity, hoppy, dark and full flavored beers. Another thing you will notice on their beer menu is that they have unconventional beer names like "one", "bulldog", "black" and many more. Discover what fits your personality. My personal favorite are "hello world" and "yellow”.
They don’t serve food but you can find local food trucks parked near their patio. The trucks keep changing but you will have great options for yummy food for most of the day from 5pm-9pm Tue-Sun. People also bring food from outside to enjoy with beer. You can also get food delivered at the location. Yes, they totally welcome food from outside. I personally like to get a slice of pie from sizzle pie next door (a pizza place) to enjoy with my drink.
It has a modern industrial interior with a chill vibe and you can see the beer in making too. It has large sitting areas both inside and outside. This place is also very good for big groups as they have huge community tables. A big plus for when you have kids and dogs with you. They also offer a bunch of board games and card games for some social fun.

"The Octopus Bar" is by far the best watering hole in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood. The decor should be tacky (in theory), but it's effortlessly cool
