Spotter since 2016
About me
I was born in Hamburg and like all Hamburgers, I am very proud of my “perl“. During high school and university, I lived in the U.S. and in Spain and during these times I’ve met many great people from all over the world. I love visiting them to explore their countries from their local perspective and I would love to give you the same experience in Hamburg and share all my favorite places with you!
Whenever I travel to new places, I’m on the hunt for the hidden treasures only locals know of. Cute cafés, special bars, restaurants with delicious local food, cool clubs or simply spots that aren’t listed in a guide.
Apart from travelling, I love vernissages, picnics, soap bubbles, cooking, small concerts and street music, dandelions, endless discussions about anything in the world, working on creative projects, strawberries, rainbows and watching plays in the theatre.
Why Hamburg?
For me, Hamburg is the perfect combination of maritime, traditional parts and alternative, cosmopolitan, hipster and international influences. We have really urban areas like the Sternschanze or St. Pauli and almost countryside-like, peaceful areas around the outer Alster – within a couple of minutes, you can skip between worlds. Plus, the illuminated harbor by night is just incredibly beautiful, I fall in love with it every single time.
Even after living in this city for so many years, there are always new hidden places to discover, so it never gets boring.
Where can you find me online?
On sunny days, paddle Hamburg’s Alster canals by boat or SUP, grab cake at Café Canale’s waterside hatch, and soak up the laid-back summer vibe.

Winterhuder Kai in Hamburg is a beautiful canal in the center of the city. What makes it special is that it can be used as a public swimming pool!

Oberhafenkantine is a true Hamburg original. It's the only harbor canteen still working. But it's not just the unique feel — I also really love its food!
