This Art Nouveau spa, finished in 1904, is located right in the heart of Stockholm. If you are visiting during summer and have very little time in Stockholm, it is worthwhile to just leave the bustle of Drottninggatan and sneak into Centralbadsparken for a little while. It is one of Stockholm's smallest parks, but it is full of charm. Centralbadsparken has a beautiful pond with a fountain and a statue surrounded by lush greens. This beautiful spot is a popular location for shooting TV-series and movies set in the early 20th century.
If you have a little bit more time, Centralbadet has a popular restaurant that serves organic food, Ecobaren. In the winter it is nice to try their light therapy. The short, dark days call for some topping up of light and energy and stopping by at Ecobaren is a great way to do it. They serve meals 11:00 - 19:00 Mon-Fri and 11:00 - 18:00 on Sat-Sunday.
If you are not in a rush and want to indulge yourself, then I strongly recommend that you treat yourself to one of their lovely treatments and go for a swim in the beautiful pool area. Secret tip: the foot- and underleg massage is to die for...
Centralbadet is an easy 500m walk from the central station, along the pedestrian street Drottninggatan, but if you are coming from further away, the nearest subway station is Hötorget (green line).
