Chao Na is a family-run restaurant decorated in an eclectic Thai-inspired way. This little restaurant can seat about 20 people at once. The focus in this restaurant is noodles! The menu is small, with just about six different dishes to choose from. Chao Na specializes in genuine Northern Thai dishes, many based on family recipes. The menu can change quite often. During our visit, there were four different noodle soups to choose from and some chicken dishes.
I went for the noodles with slow-cooked beef. It was full of flavour, and the important broth had the right amount of salt and depth to it. The noodles were very good as well and had the right texture. A very good meal indeed. We also tried the Hainanese chicken, which was also a treat for us. This is really a budget-friendly restaurant, and my suggestion is that you come early to get a table. Weekends can be quite crowded, too.
Please note that this restaurant does not serve alcohol. However, as it is located next to Nytorget and Skånegatan, you can easily head to one of the many bars in the area. A fun place for some genuine northern Thai food.
