Vitabergsparken is a park beloved by the citizens, manifested by a collective pilgrimage here each spring. This is where the locals of SoFo gather throughout the whole summer for all social needs, mostly with a pack of beers, staying as late as the temperature allows (or the bladder, since there’s no toilet).
The park is located at a height and on the hillside under the beautiful church Sofiakyrkan. No matter the temperature for your visit to Stockholm, you should definitely go for a walk up here. Despite the relaxing surrounding you can spot some preserved workmen’s dwellings from the late 1800s, as well as an old music pavilion.
The ideal ending of your visit is to make a stop at the locals favorite square Nytorget, located right below the park. Have another beer or a coffee at one of the charming bars located in the surroundings.
