Aryam might be the smallest ice cream bar in Sweden according to the production area. This tiny shop in Södermalm, Stockholm has won many awards, both locally and internationally. You will never find the same flavours two day in a row (almost), everything is done after the seasons and they only use fresh local organic milk.
Every day, about 8-10 different flavours are made and sold here. If they ran out, they are out of that flavour. As everything is made fresh, you'll not find any bad ingredients as aromas and preservatives. On a good day, be aware that you might have to wait in a long, long queue before you can access this tiny shop. There is hardly any seating area here, it might be for six people, and if you like a coffee with your ice cream, they have that too.
Recently I had the Burnet butter and vanilla caramel fudge and it was just yummy. The gelato is very soft and has a lot of taste. I also tried the chocolate, and that, too, was a great gelato with a strong and full-bodied taste. A very popular flavour right now is the saffron and blood orange, would you try it? After you get your gelato, walk along the busy Götgatan for some people watching, and you can stop later somewhere in the fun SOFO area.
