Café Maiasmokk is the oldest café in Estonia, dating back to 1864. Stepping inside feels like travelling back in time, with its vintage decor and Parisian vibe that warmly echoes the past.
The coffee here is consistently good and you can enjoy it alongside a tempting assortment of pastries and cakes. In winter, I recommend ordering a bowl of soup as well — it is both delicious and comforting on a cold day.
However, Café Maiasmokk is usually quite busy. So, be prepared for a bit of a wait and don’t let the queues deter you.
At the back of the main café, you can find the Marzipan Room. There is an exhibition of nearly 200 intricate marzipan figures. They also sell marzipans that are made on-site as well.
