Pagari Liisu bakery, hidden in an inconspicuous basement, located on a small side street in the city's downtown, is probably one of the best choices to order pies or strudels. Don't forget to take a map with you – it can be hard to find for a first time. One more piece of advice – it's worth it to pay a visit early in the morning while the pies are hot and still available for sale - there is a big chance that everything from the shelves will be sold out far before lunch. The thing is this small venue is extremely popular among people working in nearby offices, so they tend to buy up everything the bakery has to offer very quickly. Small hint – mushroom pies are the best!
A pretty convenient option is ordering in advance – and it's what I usually do when I want to celebrate something at work. Instead of running around the grocery shops trying to figure out what snacks will be the best choice to share with colleagues, it's much easier (and tastier as well) to order strudels from Liisu. They are big, really good and will be ready right by the time you want them.
