The Tbilisi botanical garden is a favorite place of nature lovers, including myself. This garden is a place where one can escape the business of city life. 

The Tbilisi botanical garden is located in the center of old Tbilisi. You can easily reach the garden from Abanotubani street by taking Botanical street directly to the garden.

It’s 161 hectares large and has plant species of over 4,500 different taxonomic groups, which means you have to spend a whole day in the garden if you want to see everything.

Besides numerous plants, the botanical garden hosts a waterfall, a zip line, and a rock climbing area, Also here there is an open festival space for various events or ceremonies, tropical plants orangery and different thematic gardens. It’s an amazing place to bring some food and drinks and have a picnic, because the botanical garden descends from a mountain, you can easily hike up to the top for beautiful city views

The Garden is uniquely beautiful in every season, but my favorite season is autumn, when the colors of the leaves are changing, the weather is cool and you can enjoy walking in the fresh air. 

Many events take place here: from spring on it hosts different festivals during the weekend, such as flower, wine, chocolate and bread festivals, as well as other events.

The botanical garden is not only one of the most beautiful places in Tbilisi but also a great place to spend a weekend and relax.
