When last year I started trying to use less plastic, I was searching for a shampoo soap bar and stumbled upon “Hila's All-Natural Soaps”. I tried her different shampoo bars, but my favourite is the one with coffee, molasse and lemongrass. Besides the shampoo bars, she also has regular soap bars, and the rose one is my favourite.
She has many fans, and not only in Israel - my hairdresser told me whenever her mum is visiting from abroad she needs to go to Hila's Stand in Nachlat Binyamin Market and buy some soaps.
What makes her soaps so special is - besides the great smell - that everything is handmade, natural and vegan. She doesn’t use palm oil, artificial colours or scents. And even the packing comes in cute patterned paper instead of plastic.
You can find her every Tuesday and Friday on the Handicraft Market on Nachlat Binyamin between Rambam and Gruzenberg Street.
