"Tel Aviv has surprised us with a new park between Neve Tzedek and Florentin. "Park Mesila" lies on the old Ottoman railway from Jaffa to Jerusalem!"

While 2020 was very restrictive for Tel Avivians to leave the house, the city surprised us with a new park between the Neve Tzedek and Florentin/Levinsky Neighbourhoods. This park is where the old Ottoman railway from Jaffa to Jerusalem once had been. They restored some of the old tracks, that you can see while you are walking along.

Finally the whole park is open - from Yehuda Halevi Street passing the back of Teder Club passing the Old train station (HaTachana) to all the way to the beach.

For a break there are many benches and grass to sit down and even a little kiosk called Rogers Park that sells excellent coffee and tasty savoury and sweet snacks. I am a fan of the vegan banana chocolate cake - definitely also for non-vegans! Or check out Mirage Tel Aviv, the little sister of the restaurant Romano, on the back of Teder Club. It's a nice coffee shop directly on the park, where you can have excellent coffee, baguettes or even sit in the sunset with an evening cocktail.

So come with your bike, dog, kids or friends and blend in with other Tel Avivians!
