Are you a true metalhead? Do you love gigs with lots of beer and mosh pits that leave bruises on you?
If yes, then Eightball is the place to be, either on Saturdays for the "Headbangers 8Ball" with lots of heavy, thrash, black, stoner metal from DJs or on days with bands playing live. On a night like that, I've witnessed a crazy, I'm guessing also drunk, dude stage diving into a not so full crowd and the result was him faceplanting and everybody getting weirdly excited.
Even though Eightball is a metal club, what it's quite known for is the amazing, not-to-be-missed Friday "Disco Night", with classic 80s and 90s songs that will have you dancing till the early morning hours. What I absolutely love on that night is the much expected sound of "Oops! I Did It Again" (by Britney Spears, for those who come from another planet) and yes that is what you'll listen to in that really underground club on a Friday night.
Wednesday is usually "Erasmus Night" or "Whatever Music Night", also pretty cool. Check out their webpage to find out about live gigs on other days and don't skip on the less known bands because they usually make your time and money worth it.
Extra tip: if you're in a band, you can contact Eightball and maybe you'll be able to arrange a gig. How cool would that be?
