Galeria Kalo is an art gallery that promotes visual art by Albanian and international artists. This art gallery features two exhibition spaces on Tirana's best-known streets.
Galeria Kalo's mission is to not only promote art and artists, but also to contribute to the Albanian society's education about art values and create change in the local art market. Galeria Kalo focuses on inclusive art and notably encourages rising young artists. It promotes visual art through hosting exhibitions with works from its own collection as well as from other galleries and straight from modern and contemporary Albanian and international artists.
I've only been to Galeria Kalo once with my architect friend, and while I'm not generally into art or gallery visits, having an architect or artist friend forces you to keep up with these things sometimes. :) I was surprised to find that I enjoyed my visit there, it was a lovely environment with a variety of colors and vibes. I took some nice pictures of myself, and I recommend you do the same even if you are not into arts and galleries.
If you're not sure when you'll be able to visit Galeria Kalo, keep an eye on their website or social media accounts for updates on future exhibitions.
