There are so many places offering ice cream in Tirana, but unfortunately, there are not so many good ones. So I am always in search of new places where I can have really good ice cream, and of course, for us locals, La Nocciola is no longer a secret.
I first published this article in 2016, when La Nocciola had only one small shop in a not-so-central location. Now, they have three shops in three great locations in Tirana. I think this speaks a lot about the great work they are constantly doing with their ice cream.
Until La Nocciola, Tirana had a little too many ice cream shops selling industrial products with no flavor and no fresh ingredients whatsoever. But La Nocciola changed that, and they always try new flavors using seasonal fruits, such as the new limited-edition Matcha Ice cream that they only make once in a while.
Mullixhiu is one of the first restaurants that started the farm-to-table movement in Tirana, and it offers a tasting menu with a traditional touch.
