Wholesome Canine is not just any “pet store”; it is a health and wellness store for your four-legged pal. I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes right now, but if you are a crazy dog mom like me and want to give your four-legged child all of the best things, you will come here.
Wholesome Canine specializes in providing what they consider to be the best possible dog food (read: no kibble, it’s raw or cooked human-grade food), supplements, treats and grooming products. They only carry products that they have vetted and believe in and they make a bunch of their own products in-house. My dog loves their bone broth which comes in a variety of flavours such as chicken, beef, duck, lamb and kangaroo and he also loves their bone broth hearts which they make from blended broth and meat with coconut oil, spirulina, turmeric and other goodies all moulded into cute heart-shaped treats. For those of you in Toronto, Wholesome Canine also provides free delivery on orders over $75.
The two women who own the shop (yay for female-run businesses!) are both very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to discuss any pet-related concerns you may have.
