I really do love my city BUT, when it comes to ice cream, for sure Sicilian people are the top masters.
Siculo (that literally means “from Sicily”) is a tiny, popular and authentic ice cream shop in Torino. In my opinion, it’s THE Ice-cream shop.
You can see that the ice cream is superb because the place is small but there is always a bunch of people inside! Therefore there are at least always 3 people serving: they are super fast and always super kind.
When you get there, you should get the number at the entrance and wait for your turn (like real Italian woman they just scream the number: if you need to know how your number sounds in Italian, just ask to anybody there and they will help you).
There you can chose between the “classic” ice cream, which you'll see that here it's really dense because it’s done with real fresh fruit, milk, eggs etc, and granita, which is a Sicilian fresh dessert. The REAL granita is the coffee one, but I do love the pistachio flavor! You can combine 2 flavours, and more importantly, you can ask to have fresh cream on the top or, even better, in the middle.
Both ice cream and granita can be served either in the classic cup, but also in the “Brioches” which is kind of a sweet bread. It’s enough for a meal! Definitely a MUST EAT!
