If, after a couple of meals in Italy, you are tired of all that seafood, pizza and spaghetti and want to try something different, the place you might be looking for is Carovansara. Managed by immigrants who have lived in Venice for almost two decades, this restaurant offers Greek, Middle-Eastern and Afgan cuisine.
The exotic atmosphere of the restaurant’s furniture, combined with the remarkable friendliness of the staff, create a very cozy environment in which one can have either an aperitive of a whole meal and get a glimpse and a taste of what people from a different culture have been able to create after many years of living within Venice reality.Â
P.S. If you're lucky, on some special occasions, the restaurant also organises live music events, mainly Balkan music.
