Hidden within the mazelike system of Venice calles, you can find one of the best spots to enjoy a spritz, a one-of-a-kind view of the Grand Canal and much much more.
The Remer pier is a some 15-meter-long wooden structure tucked in the very heart of Venice, after one of the most unlikely turns one has to take when walking on this almost impossible island.
Once you make it to the Campiello del Remer, you will find a wonderful taverna at your right, where you can order a takeaway drink; a few steps away, you can reach the pier. At the end of it, you will see Rialto Bridge on your left and the famous fish market in front of you, on the other side of the Grand Canal.
This is an amazing spot to enjoy some moments of deserved rest after the long walks Vencie makes one endure. It is also possible to have a fancy dinner at the taverna and, on special occasions, you can also treat yourself to some classical music concerts held in this old-fashioned restaurant.
