Kablys is the first indoor skatepark in Vilnius... and also Lithuania. Moreover it's a harbor for a trendy B&B&B&B&B hostel, a nightclub and also a restaurant/bar. The club hosts alternative events like electronic and other music parties, stand up comedy shows etc. Kablys has brought the neighbourhood back to life and is always a fresh impetus for the locals.
I consider this place to be a heritage of today's urban Vilnius culture in the first place. I always imagine this place as a hub for the station area of the city. Kablys has just a colossal exterior look (it was a Palace of railway workers before) and the inside of "the great hook" is even better in my opinion.
Old interior details similar to ancient Roman times have been retained and refined with contrasting urban looks. And besides the visual goodies - they have awesome people working there and you could not ask for more fun in one place other than here.
Kablys is a place where you can do a load of things - it all depends on your needs. However, no matter the occasion, it's a must see on your own kind of place, even a thousand descriptions isn't worth one visit. My recommendation - make that one visit, at least to take a peak inside, and you won't be disappointed.
The "Belmontas" Entertainment and Recreation Center is one of the most wonderful places in Vilnius. It's like an oasis in the forest; so many things to do.
