Don't get fooled by the name of the bar - Prohibocija is a beer wonderland. It opened recently in the up-and-coming neighborhood and is surrounded by several other tiny bars like Monstro, Špunka and Meatballs restaurant.
Anyway, let's get back to the beer. First things first - at Prohibicija bar you'll understand that beer has a journey and history, just like wine. It's not the place where you order, pay and walk away. At Prohibicija you ask for recommendations, consult on flavors, get excited about new arrivals and taste the beer, not just drink it. The bartenders are extremely educated on beer topic and are always able to intrigue you.
The place is rather small, not too cozy, but cozy enough to have a chat with friends, play some foosball or meet fellow beer enthusiasts. And that's what I really like about it. They focus on the quality, attitude and taste, and you can really feel it.
So if you are looking for something sophisticated, yet not arrogant, if you don't mind enjoying your beer standing up and can handle the noise of other people's conversations - Prohibicija is a place to go. You'll have a blast, or at least some great beer for sure.
