Warsaw "Plac Zbawiciela", also known as "Plac Hipsterow", meaning young (and not so young) hipsters, often meet here, in this square, to start their night out. In the last 5 years, eccentric and vintage street parties have made Warsaw one of the most hip capitals in Europe.
The square can be very crowded during evenings on summer and the location make the place a nice spot to meet up with mates.
The surroundings are very interesting since the MDM is just a walk away, and the French quarter, built before communism, is hidden just on the Lazienki Krolewski way.
The place I like the most in the square is Karma Cafe. A selection of beers and very tasty sandwiches make the spot worth a visit for work on the computer and while waiting for other friends to arrive.
Karma Cafe is not only about coffee: I think the most interesting aspect of the place is the exhibitions it hosts. Recently, they hosted a Spanish contemporary painter. During the opening, a spontaneous concert took place and the people walking outside got interested and started coming inside. The mood was great and the colors and geometry of the paintings did the rest.
While sitting outside, it is also possible to enjoy the view on one of the oldest churches in town, the Church of the Liberator.
