Karmnik, literally bird feeder - hence a bird in the logo - is my favourite restaurant/bar in the Old Town. As it's not located in the Castle square or the Old Town Market it appears to be more popular with locals than with tourists.
As a restaurant it offers Polish cuisine with a modern touch, including fish, meats and poultry as well as the ever popular pierogi. Besides that there's a good selection of starters and desserts and - like in every proper Polish restaurant - soups.
I especially like coming here in the evening to have something to drink. The available choice of liqueurs is quite impressive and the cocktails are undoubtedly some of best ones in town. I was never disappointed with what I found on the menu but if you have a more specific taste, you can also ask the skilled bartenders to prepare a custom one to your liking.
If available, try one of window tables. You have to climb the window ledge to reach the stool glued to it but as a reward you get the best views both of the bar and the narrow street outside.
