The crossroads of Pushkin and Parpetsi in Yerevan are truly a meeting of cultures. Here you can find some underground life and some (overground) Syrian-Lebanese-Armenian fast food closeby. A great place to drink and, once hungry, go and eat something. Or the opposite.
One of my favorite pubs is Calumet on Pushkin street. I have written a separate post about it. It has been a fresh air of diversity for me. It is known for many things -- its famous, tasty fries, pizza, music, etc. With the law finally passed forbidding smoking inside, it is just a great place to relax with taste.
Once you are drunk enough, there are a few spots nearby to go for some quick food. For example, Abu Hagob is not far from Middle Eastern types of sandwiches.
A reminder: this crossroad is still hosting residential buildings, so one can hardly sing aloud in the streets after drinking hard. But I want to believe you will have an amazing time in one of these pubs anyway. Just make sure you're also mindful of your personal belongings.
