One of my favorite restaurants in Yerevan, Smoking Chef offers some of the best-prepared meat dishes in the country. Don't get me wrong, Armenian BBQ is delicious and it is definitely recommended, but every now and then you need a change of pace. This is where Smoking Chef comes in. Smoking Chef is a great alternative for your protein fix. Most meats and veggies are prepared on a josper grill. At first, I didn't know what that meant. But the grilling equipment and technique makes a big difference! In regard to selection, Smoking Chef has it all:
Aged beef steaks. Check.
Tomahawk steak. Check.
Porkchops. Check.
Grilled Chicken. Check.
Amazing Beef Tacos. Check.
Other than meat, they also provide great vegetarian options. As a matter of fact, they have some of the best salads in town, not to mention the jospor grilled potatoes!
One thing worth noting is their elaborate dessert show. On birthdays, guests typically order a loud and spectacular Pavlova mess. So, when the music becomes loud, know what to expect!
