Tashir street is an underground shopping center in the very heart of Yerevan — under the Northern Avenue. I usually visit Tashir Street to buy some books. It's a good place to walk around if you don't have much time to visit other huge malls. The gem of this place for me is "Vernissage" — a market-style shop of all types of Armenian souvenirs and jewelry. It is named like the famous "Vernissage" market in Yerevan. They are pretty similar, yet the one in Tashir Street is well organized and the variety of products is different. The prices are affordable, and one can certainly find a piece of Armenia to keep as a memory.
There are also shops which sell souvenirs, handmade wooden accessories, clothing and many more.
Depending on the season they organize exhibitions, concerts etc. Overall, a good place to wander around and relax.
