Located in the heart of Yerevan, on Charles Aznavour Square, the Zodiac Fountain is easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. Surrounded by iconic buildings like Moscow Cinema, the Grand Hotel Yerevan, the Artists Union of Armenia, and the newly unveiled Charles Aznavour statue, this fountain often goes unnoticed by visitors.
At first glance, it may seem like just another old fountain, but take a closer look, and you’ll discover something special. The fountain features 12 statues surrounding a mosaic, each representing one of the 12 zodiac signs. It’s fun to walk around and try to guess which statue corresponds to which sign. While the names are written on the statues in Armenian, you’ll need a little local knowledge to fully decode them — but the experience is still enjoyable regardless.
If you’re walking down Abovyan Street or visiting Moscow Cinema, don’t miss this hidden gem. Find your zodiac sign’s statue, take a photo, and who knows, maybe it’ll bring you some good luck!
