Hi everyone, my name is Marion. I am an intellectual property lawyer and I moved to Zurich from my hometown Munich/Bavaria. Back then in 2007 I thought it would only be for a couple of years. Boy, was I wrong! From my appartment on top of Kreis 4 I initially explored the neigbouring bars and clubs and then moved with my family to Zuerich's "Silvercoast" (or "Sniffle Coast" as some people call it)...

"Chiang Mai Take Away is a cozy spot near the HB serving fresh Thai (and now Chinese) dishes. Fast, flavorful, and perfect for a casual lunch or dinner."

Since 2009, this restaurant close to the HB has been offering delicious, freshly cooked Thai cuisine to take away or eat on the spot in a convivial, authentic atmosphere similar to the street kitchens you have experienced on vacation.

Up to five different meat and veggie dishes and curries are offered in a display case at the counter, which can be ordered with rice or noodles. Due to an owner change last year, Chinese dishes have recently been added to the menu.

There are large and small portions at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and quick, so the restaurant is particularly busy at lunchtime. You can sit outside at long, rustic tables. Inside, there are large glass tables where you can take a seat on solid wooden stools. The lighting is warm and pleasant. The perfect place to enjoy a quick and uncomplicated Thai meal.
