Hi everyone, my name is Marion. I am an intellectual property lawyer and I moved to Zurich from my hometown Munich/Bavaria. Back then in 2007 I thought it would only be for a couple of years. Boy, was I wrong! From my appartment on top of Kreis 4 I initially explored the neigbouring bars and clubs and then moved with my family to Zuerich's "Silvercoast" (or "Sniffle Coast" as some people call it)...

"Cafe Lulu on Sechseläutenplatz, right by the opera has a terrace with lake views, delicious snacks such as tarte flambée. Perfect spot for casual aperitif!"

Directly on Sechseläutenplatz, next to the entrance to the opera house, you will find a vault on the first floor that is reminiscent of a jazz cellar with its low ceiling height, wood-paneled walls and art on the walls.

In fact, you are very close to art at Cafe Lulu, as you can walk straight through the box office into the opera house, and Theater Bernhard is just a stone's throw away. In the evenings, guests can also be seen in evening dresses, suits or sequined dresses. It's a colorful mix. There is a terrace in front of Cafe Lulu, which offers a stunning view of the lake and the hustle and bustle of Sechseläutenplatz when the weather is fine.

In addition to an extensive breakfast menu, there is also sushi and bowls. Cafe Lulu is ideal for a glass of wine after a visit to the opera or for a fine aperitif. A tarte flambée (topped with a choice of bacon, vegetables, salmon or truffles) is wonderful to share and, together with a “Cüpli” (Swiss German for a glass of champagne), is the perfect start to an opera or ballet performance.
