I walked past the restaurant for a long time on my way to Enge station without really noticing it. It doesn't look very special from the outside, rather a bit outdated with a charm from the 80s.
But when I entered on a spring evening, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was speedy. And although we spend a lot of time in Ticino and are demanding when it comes to pizza, we were very satisfied with the Pizza Diavola. The dough was thin and crispy, and the salami was pleasantly spicy. The striking pizza oven at the entrance is indeed huge and constantly in operation. The mixed salad was fresh and served quickly.
We had a little pizza bread to nibble on as an aperitif. Through the high glass windows, we had a beautiful view of the Enge train station, which was built entirely from Ticino granite and modelled on the Stuttgart train station. What more could you want?
