Thanks to a friend I found this delicious breakfast, lunch, coffee, snack place where I have already eaten several times and infected further now Alpenkantine lovers. The freshness is striking, as well as the moderate pricing. It’s rather a small, clearly arranged potpourri of southern German cuisine (the owner is from Bremen), which suits the name “Alps canteen”.
And like in a common canteen you walk by these daily fresh delicacies and your eyes are in danger of popping out. Be careful of death by cake perfection! The turquoise tiles on the floor are an eye catcher and the interior decoration has now been pimped by sales shelves, which are among others equipped with homemade jams and ceramic tableware.
At certain peak times you have to be more patient with the service. First come, first serve. The community tables inside are spacious, placed in three rows with many different chairs around them. Some remind me of my school days.
Well, my recommendation: quiche with goat cheese and green asparagus and for dessert the carrot muffin with cream frosting!!! Traditional are the dumplings (Knödel) or Spätzle (kind of egg noodles, Swabian diminutive for “little sparrow”), just a headache to choose! he current lunch menu, you can also call up on facebook…
Entrance ramp available, which provides easy access for strollers or wheelchairs.
