Are you also one of those people who always look for a place with a relaxing view? Well, then you will love the Cafe ‘t Smalle in Amsterdam! It is located on a side canal of the Prinsengracht, in the popular Jordaan area, which is one of my favorite ones.
One of the things I really like is enjoying a beer or wine with a friend after a busy working day and contemplating the passing boats and changing colours of the water as the sun goes down. In the summer months, the sunset comes in part through the Egelantiersgracht, making the view simply beautiful.
The Cafe ‘t Smalle is a traditional pub with a nice interior decor and wood-paneled walls that offers different types of drinks. You can also have a coffee during the day, for example after a visit to the Anne Frank Huis, which is practically across the street!
After that, I highly recommend strolling through the charming Egelantiersgracht canal, where you can take a few photos of one of its bridges (in the warmer months decorated with flowers) while enjoying the architecture. This has been something I have been doing nearly every time I pass through it.
You can also continue with another drink at Soundgarden cafe.
