Another great place for book and food lovers in Antwerp is Cosimo. It is located in the fancy 'Zuid' (aka. South) region of Antwerp, and a bookshop as well as a cafe.
The first time I came here I just wanted to have a quick brunch with some friends and without thinking much, we went to this place, as it was highly rated on Google Maps. However, the moment we walked in we realized we'd be back. The decor and atmosphere are so cute: lots of dried flowers, plants, and a bright yellow wall in the back-area, that will make you happy no matter how grumpy you feel. The highlight, of course, is the selection of books! The owners of Cosimo are very careful to only select books that they've read (and enjoyed) themselves and will also offer some hidden gems that you might not find in conventional bookstores. Small warning: they only offer (translated) Dutch books, but I think even if you don't speak Dutch you'll enjoy browsing through their collection and admiring all the pretty covers.
Of course, the food at this cafe is great as well, I was especially happy with their offer of pastries and cakes to satisfy my sweet tooth!
