Giorgio Hatter is one of the few remaining authentic hat shops in the city centre. Its rich history goes back to 1930, when grandfather Georgios Polychronopoulos opened the first hat shop in Kalamata, with the main activity being the manufacture of school hats. A few decades later, in 1978, his son Elias arrived in the city introducing the quality and style of Giorgio Hatter.

Today the company is run by the third generation, George and Vicky, who continue the family tradition. Quality and unique materials, special and simple colors, fashion, and personal style are combined in a large collection of men’s and women’s hats. At a time when the hat, apart from its practical value, has become an essential element of style, especially for men’s heads (Peaky Blinders shows a clear preference for trayaskas!), Giorgio Hatter offers many options: trayaskas, hats, jockeys, berets and caps come to warm and beautify.

The owners are always happy to help with combinations to suit everyone’s personal style. You can choose a straw hat if you visit Athens in summer or one of the warmer hats if you come in winter. You can also choose a special hat box that can be used not only to store our favorite hats but also as part of the decoration of the home or office.
