Mandragoras is one of those restaurants where after one visit, you begin to wonder when you will go again. Mandragoras has recently been creating its own story in a little street in Kallithea with no other stores nearby. It has built its own name and devoted audience outside of ads and social media through word of mouth.
The owner is an experienced chef, and together with his family, he cooks every day a series of unforgettable Greek and generally Mediterranean dishes in the open kitchen of the restaurant. In each of these dishes, the taste and quality of the ingredients are evident. The main characteristic of the cuisine is the strong flavors that are firmly rooted in the Greek tradition but also have a strong creative character.
There are always dishes of the day in addition to the set menu, so no two visits to Mandragoras are ever the same. The best chicken skewer (chicken kontosouvli) is always available, but if you're lucky, the chef will have also made some outstanding orzo pasta with mushrooms. All these, combined with impeccable service and a very beautiful hall, make Mandragoras an unforgettable and complete gastronomic experience.
