Santarosa Bar was named by a couple when a boy and a girl discovered that their grandparents both had a notary office at Santa Rosa Str., in the center of Athens and the coincidence of that fact was karma for them.
To enter the bar, you have to pull the two black glass doors. The first impression when you enter the bar reminds you of a combination of Japanese and gothic dark atmosphere. The lowlights and the wooden details on the ceiling and walls take you back in time due to the old-school interior with Japanese influences and details.
Its trademark is the long, wooden bar that, with a length of 14 meters (!) - maybe the longest bar in Athens. The music compilations depend on the day. Most of the time, they are playing spiritual jazz, darkwave, and cinematic soundtracks. I recommended it for winter days due to the dark interior. The bartenders serve a great variety of spirits. Best place for negronis and whiskeys.
