If you're a book fan looking for a quiet place to have a coffee or tea and browse through books, Bookastore on Cara Lazara Street is the place for you. This spacious spot is bright, with plenty of natural light during the day. There are also a few tables outside on this small pedestrian street, perfect for enjoying the nice weather. Booka is a publishing agency, so at their bookstores, you can discover new local writers, the latest books, the most popular titles, and more. In addition to Serbian literature, you can find foreign literature in Serbian translation, as well as some books in English.
Beyond books, Bookastore also offers a variety of products from local designers, such as jewelry, T-shirts, bags, posters, and more. Everything is interesting and affordable, making this my go-to spot when I'm looking for a gift.
In addition to this Bookastore on Cara Lazara Street, there's another location on Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, which doesn't have a café but still offers a wide range of books and other items to browse and perhaps purchase as a Belgrade souvenir.
