Sometimes I want to eat classic Serbian fast food, and when I do it is good to have a reliable place. And yes, you guessed, it is Drama, classic grill, only beef “ćevapi” and sausages. And a good one!
I believe that you already know what ćevapi are, but if you don’t, in short they are cylinders of minced meat with basic spices. The best to eat in Drama are the 5 pieces in a bun with onions and a little bit of hot pepper. Drama is excellently located, just below the National Theater. When the weather is nice, you can sit out in front, since there are a few tables. And please, experience Belgrade in full. I mean, it is okay to try one of the many excellent restaurants, but also, you should try this quality fast food.
If Antony Bourdain, travel and cooking knight, my hero and inspiration was with us, he would certainly recommend Drama whole-hardheartedly, but sadly, since he isn’t, it’s up to me.
