Miamiam is what you get when you mix a lifelong friendship, a pinch of French culture, a Michelin star experience and India. Sounds nuts? Try their beetroot halva with walnuts, almonds and Indian nuts to see what's really nuts.
Whenever I crave to pamper my palate, this is the place.
Miamiam is established by Marija, who is working for the French TV5 MONDE in Serbia, her sister, who did the interior and Marija's husband Sudir, who is from India.
Miamiam is decorated like a tiny French bistro, with 5-6 tables. The owners take care of every detail, and the menu changes with the seasons. Not only is the taste great, they also make an effort to arrange the food and serve it on custom-made dinnerware, usually brought from one of the many trips or made by a Belgrade's craftsmen.
On the other hand, this is one of the rare places in Belgrade to try Indian food. Especially during the Holy festival, the menu is additionally enriched with items such as rice pudding, payasam with dried fruit, raita, etc. The spices come from India directly: from saffron and cardamom to cumin.
Don't leave this place until you try my all-time favorite dish — soft pork saddle boiled in milk based on an old Italian recipe, served on celery puree with a milk and sage sauce.
