This is not the first restaurant hidden in an apartment in Belgrade, but it is the best one for sure. Not only that, it is close to becoming my favorite restaurant out of all, and those are some seriously big words. And all that even if it is located all the way in Zemun, which is perhaps further away psychologically then geographically, but still- the point is: I need a really strong reason to go to Zemun.
What is so special about this place, one wonders? The fact, my friends, that it mixes the best of both words: homey, relaxed, cozy, "let's stay for another glass" atmosphere of an apartment and a superb cuisine that leaves behind grand restaurants with big names, stiff waiters and shiny dining halls.
The menu is short, but I could talk about the food for hours. And almost equally extensively about the interior that mixes old architecture, contemporary art and design pieces from the 70s. Regarding the inviting and relaxing atmosphere of the place- it is best to experience it by oneself. My favorite part is starting the night on a worn-in leather couch in the "living room", while browsing through the music and books over an aperitif. It is almost like coming to dinner at your favorite aunt's home. In case your aunt is a very talented interior designer and a top-class chef, that is.
