I believe that most cities have their racetrack, a place for running and walking.
For example, it must be amazing to run through Central park, watching Bethesda Fountain. But Belgrade’s racetrack in Kosutnjak woods, “Trim staza”, is something different. It is not too long, just 1200m and it’s not so famous. I can find more of what it’s not, but I want to point out what it is.
It’s a beautiful place in one of classic Belgrade's urban woods.
It is a place where you can forget all your worries, empty your head and listen to the sound of the wind going through the branches.
If you are an amateur or professional runner, it is a perfect place for you, since Trim Staza is made with new tartan material and has exercise equipment all over it.
It is connected with other nice wood tracks through Kosutnjak, so you can have a very nice walk on tartan modern track as well as an on a grass track.
And of course, there are places where you can rest and eat: Aleksandar Club Ski Track and its great view, rustic tavern Kafanica and the old classic restaurant Golf are very close. Summer is awesome for a visit, but If you’re coming on an early winter evening, you’re in luck, because you can get to experience breathing cold fresh air while walking, hopefully on snow.
