There are rumours that Spandau is not a part of Berlin. But don't listen to them. People who say that are just jealous because they live too far away from this paradise. It is one of the greenest parts of Berlin, with such gems as the Old Town, the Citadel and this treasure of nature, Little Venice and Tiefwerder Wiesen. Just get off the M49 bus from Zoologischer Garten at Pichelswerder Bus Stop direct or at the Stoßenseebrücke and cross the bridge to walk right to get there.
There are a few kayak hire companies along the way where you can hire one and head out on the canals of these beautiful waterways. If you are lucky you might see buffalo or kingfishers, a bird with bright blue feathers. Little Venice is also a communal garden colony. Almost every garden has access to the water, so don't be surprised if you see someone jumping into the water already sitting in their kayak.
If you're more in the mood for a walk, this is also an option and no less impressive. The Tiefwerder Wiesen are meadows cut through by the many canals where the buffalo graze. At the end of a well-spent day, don't miss the spectacular sunset view from the Stoßensee Bridge.

I am a big fan of their pistachio maritozzo which is a soft Roman bun filled with cream and topped with crushed pistachios. It's absolutely amazing, and not overwhelmingly sweet.

One word to describe Macondo? Bustling! It's not the place if you need a quiet space to work, but it's nice if you want to have it all: work, play, wine, and coffee.

I suggest stopping by the Berlin Art Market by the Zeughaus to pick up a locally created art piece. Since the market is located in the center of Museum Island it's easy to reach.
