Unterwegs Antiquariat & Galerie - Berlin/Brandenburg is on the same street Ackerstraße as one of my favorite secondhand bookstores in Berlin, Wiederhold (check out my article). They are in a less than one-hundred-meter distance but I always failed to pay attention to this magnificent antiquarian bookstore founded by Marie-Luise Surek-Becker. The bookstore has four main topics: architecture, photography, Berlin-Brandenburg and travel guides. A quick check of this shop or its online catalogue reveals many aesthetically attractive items, especially books! Surek-Becker started her business in the early nineties as a part-time passion. But today, her expertise in these four fields has contributed to a beautiful collection that goes beyond language barriers.
For collectors or simple visitors wishing to keep a piece of their time in Berlin as an eternal souvenir, Unterwegs Antiquariat can be a nice choice, although prices might be higher than other secondhand bookstores around.
